Makeup Monday Linky Party #1 *NYE* Makeup Look

Hip Hop Hooray...ohhh...Hay ohhh!
Happy New Years Eve!
I am so excited for today!
Today is the very first link up party for "Makeup Monday".
Myself and Miss Maria from Agape Love and Designs are bringing to you "Beauty girl talk".

The nitty gritty, the secrets of the trade, sharing ideas and making friends.
Everyone is welcome here.
Bring your nail designs, hair dos, beauty finds,
reviews and makeup looks.
There will be giveaways...and a chance for your blog post to be featured.
Holla!
My contribution to the link up is a
NYE Makeup Look.
Generally for NYE one would apply a heavy smokey eye and/or red lip.
I went a heavier neutral look with a pop of color.
Don't over look the added sparkle on the lid.

For my complete look I used:
Lorac Pro Palette colors: Pewter, Champange, Espresso and Creme , Elf Eyelid Primer, Maybelline Color Tattoo in 100 Barely Branded, Jesse's Girl Eyedust in Pixie, Kleancolor Lip Liner in Natural, Elf lipstick in Classy, Revlon Eyeliner in 004 Emerald, Be a Bombshell Felt Liner in Onyx, Sonia Kashuk Concealer palette, Physicians Formula Mascara Black, NYX Blush in Dusty Rose, Hard Candy Bronzer in Tiki (highlighter) The Balm Bahama Mama Bronzer, Rimmell Stay Matte Powder...not pictured  Kara Lashes #48
* I tried resizing these photos but Blogger wasn't having it...*
Prime lid with Elf primer, apply color tattoo all over lid for additional base color *optional*
I do this because I have greasy lids and the color sticks better
on the outer 3/4 of your lid pat on the color Pewter.
Blend that out with a clean crease brush.
Take the color Champagne and apply that to the remaining 1/4 inner corner of you lid.
Using Espresso (a dark matte brown) and a tapered shadow brush, draw out your crease starting from your lash line. Like a "V" but carry the shadow all the way to your inner eye crease.
It looks weird at first, but it pulls together. *promise*

Using a shimmer dust (Jesse's Girl has a great selection at Rite Aid $4.99) pat that into your inner corner of your eye. The lightest area of shadow. There will be lots of fall out...this is a dust.
Taking the color Creme highlight under your brow bone
and blend into the edges of the espresso color.
*Now is the time to clean all the fall out off your cheeks ,if any. Apply your foundations and concealers.*
Line your lower lash line and waterline with a green eyeliner. Revlon's Emerald liner has a nice sparkle to it. *love* Smudge the lash line a bit with a Q-tip or your finger.
Line top lash line with a black eyeliner...
I used a felt tip liner *preference* wigging it out a little on the end.
Curl lashes and apply mascara to desired amount. * I used false lashes*
Apply bronzer, blush and highlight.
Line lips, apply lipstick and Rock his world.

I hope you enjoyed this look. I hope you have a safe and fun New Years Eve.
I pray 2013 is your year for blessings and prosperity.

  1. Oh my gosh. Im dying, how are we not seriously related!? :) I totally did a similar look for my NYW post! HAHA Subtle Neutral (gold) smokey eye with a pop of color on the lower lashes! HAHA

    WOW.

Anywho... LOVE this look. You are gorgeous as always. ♥ And maybe just try making your photos 640 wide, then you can just hit "original size" and they will be bigger, and fit your writing space perfectly. :)

Let me know if you need any help with that! Love ya!!

  3. You have such great looks! I love the pop of color underneath the eyes. I'll have to keep this in mind next time I go out for a girls night, or something fun like that.

How do you like the Lorac pallet? I only have one of their products so far (their baked face powder) and I really like it, and am interested in trying new products... especially a neutral eye pallet.

    1. I love my Pro Palette! Yes you must get it. The powders are so soft and easy to work with. I have a few of their single shadows and eye liners too. Really great quality. Thanks for reading.
